After creating ripples at the box office with Ayan, cinematographer turned director K.V Anand is back with yet another racy entertainer titled Ko. The film features Jeeva and Karthika Nair in her Tamil debut as the lead pair. Ajmal Ameer and Piaa Bajpai also play significant roles in the film.
Ko is a political thriller and Jeeva plays the role of a photo journalist. He does an investigative story that disappoints the political mafia that rules the state. Ajmal Ameer takes on the role of a politician and Prakash Raj is reported to play the baddie role.
Ko was initially supposed to have Karthik Sivakumar and later Silambarasan Rajendar in the lead role. Due to differences with the director, Simbhu was removed from the project just before the start of shooting and was quickly replaced by Jeeva. Tamannaah Bhatia was initially supposed to play the lead female role but was replaced by actress Radha's daughter, Karthika Nair.
Ko is produced by S.Kumar and Jayaraman under the banner of R.S Infotainment. Soundtrack of the film is scored by Harris Jayaraj, who joins hands with K.V Anand again after Ayan.
Ko will be distributed by Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies.
